In this case, it truly is rocket science when Aerospace Engineering students learn about rocket propulsion, computational fluid dynamics and aircraft jet propulsion from a top-notch industry expert. Trong Bui, an aerospace engineer at the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center, is serving as visiting fellow in the Aerospace Engineering department during the 2005-06 academic year. Biological Sciences Professor Glenn Stewart Celebrates 40 Years at Cal Poly Pomona

Faculty member Nicole Wickler is a co-principal investigator in a National Science Foundation (NSF)- Research on Learning and Education grant designed to help Southern California elementary school teachers create better instruction in science. The program has two long-term goals: First, to assist teachers in their professional growth in science and science teaching. New fields that blur the lines between disciplines are emerging, and biologists, chemists, physicists and mathematicians are forging interdisciplinary collaborations. News Team Tours Bio Trek with Monrovia School ChildrenThere was more than the scent of the rainforest in the air on March 10 at Cal Poly Pomona's Rain Bird BioTrek learning centers. Special guest Hunter Lawry from the KTTV-11 News Team was on hand to film students from the Immaculate Conception School in Monrovia as they toured the facilities.
