Mandayam Srinivas is interim dean of the College of Science and also professor of Computer Science. Dr. Srinivas began his Cal Poly Pomona career as assistant professor of computer science in 1988 after working in industry for seven years and at a research university for four years. He served as department chair of Computer Science from 1997-2006 and associate dean of the College of Science from 2006-2009. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Pennsylvania State University. He majored in Physics and Chemistry as an undergraduate and holds a M.Sc. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology. After receiving his Ph.D., he served on the faculty at the University of Rochester. In the course of his career, he has worked as staff scientist and systems analyst in India, as consultant for Nitro Nobel in Sweden, and as faculty fellow at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena. |
Craig A. Rich, Ph.D.
Email: carich@csupomona.edu Dr. Rich has accepeted the position of Associate Dean (Operations and Student Affairs), beginning September 1, 2011, for the College of Science, he is a long-time faculty member and his experience will be valuable in his NEW position with the College of Science. Craig Rich began teaching at Cal Poly Pomona as an Assistant Professor in 1988. He became the webmaster of the school's website from 1995 to 1998 and also developed Cal Poly's Intranet. He also organizes and judges many local Programming Contests. Dr. Rich received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from Iowa State University. He received is Ph.D. in 1988. His interests include World Wide Web Technologies, Scalable Computing Environments, Distributed Computing, Cryptography, and Secure Communication.
K.B. (Tina) Hartney, Ph.D. Interim Associate Dean (Academic Programs and Faculty Affairs)

Dr. Kristine Hartney, a faculty member in the Biological Sciences department, received the Provost's Award for Teaching Excellence this year. Her insight and experience will be valuable in her new position.
Hiram Santisteban, Ph.D. Opr. Analyst/Specialist
Email: shiram@csupomona.edu Hiram Santisteban is delighted to be part of California Polytechnic University, Pomona as the Operations Analyst/Specialist, for the College of Science. Coordinating the College of Science's Commencement event, is only one of the responsibilities Hiram does for the College, as well as DSX (rooms and elevators Bldgs 3 and 4). Prior to becoming part of the College of Science, Hiram worked for the Rosier School of Education University of Southern California and as Strategic Planning IT Consultant.
